About Our Welcome to the Watershed Series – 35th Anniversary Edition

Welcome back, hikers, to the Escondido Creek watershed! Our special anniversary hiking series has returned now that the weather is cooling down. We continue to invite the community to explore the lands we have protected together across the watershed for the last three and a half decades.

Join us on September 26, 2026, at our Harmony Heights Preserve for a special tour of the lands and corridors that connect this beautiful community. Enjoy an inspiring conversation and guided hike from Conservancy team members and volunteers as they take you through areas of active restoration to see firsthand how we, along with our partners and our community, are connecting corridors for wildlife and preserving the natural beauty of neighborhoods in San Marcos and North San Diego County.

This is a unique opportunity to learn about the conservation progress made at one of our newest preserves, as well as to hear about another nearby property that we are currently trying to save – the Altmann property in San Elijo Hills.
