The HILL YEAH RIDE – Gravel and Road Options – an end of the season party at The Lost Abbey – 10/18/2026

HILL YEAH.
We’re putting together something a little different on Sunday, October 18 at The Lost Abbey in Vista, and I wanted to invite the whole Southern California cycling scene to be part of it.
The Hill Yeah Ride is our attempt to create a proper end-of-season bash around the thing that brought all of us together in the first place: riding bikes.
There are road and unroad routes, plenty of climbing and timed Strava segments that will determine the KOM/QOM winners and awards. If you want to race it, race it. If you want to ride hard with your friends, tell lies about how fast you were and have a beer afterward, that works too.
But the ride is only half of what we want Hill Yeah to become.
We’re inviting local teams, clubs, shops and cycling brands to come out and set up tents. We’ll have a bike swap meet, food trucks, bikes and gear, and essentially turn The Lost Abbey venue into one big beer garden when everyone gets back.
No velvet ropes. No particular tribe of cycling. Roadies, gravel riders, racers, recreational riders, brands, shops, teams and anyone else who thinks spending a Sunday around bikes and good people sounds worthwhile.
The idea is pretty simple: let’s give the Southern California cycling community a place to get together one more time before we call the season done.
